I am currently in my senior year as an accounting major and look forward to graduating in May of 2020. I transferred in from junior college in the fall of 2018 and joined Beta Alpha Psi at Cal State East Bay, becoming publicity chair for the Epsilon chapter. Joining BAP has been a great benefit for me. The support and resources I have found as a BAP member have been an incredible asset to my educational career and personal growth. When I’m not studying, (which is rare) I enjoy practicing yoga and going to the gym

Growing up in the small, agricultural town of Hanford, CA, it was easy for me to figure out the two things that I value most in life; family and friends. The two share obvious connections in that the joy and happiness derived from both come from genuine, human connection. This connection will always be the center of my focus and is what drives me to improve myself and help others around me. Later on in life I served six years in the United States Air Force where not only did I learn to internalize the core values of integrity, service, and develop a commitment to excellence, but it’s also where I learned how to lead and follow in a professional environment. Now, as an accounting student at California State University East Bay, I plan to continue my professional journey, connecting with hard-working, like-minded people in hopes to keep the focus of my life true to my words.
